A new mentoring Program - that doesn’t break the bank

January 21st, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

In the news this month is John Thornhill’s new ‘Planetsms Digital Monthly Mentorship’
I’ve taken a look at this the sales page gives a lot of detail as to what John is doing
See it here

And frankly - I would recommend checking it out.

To have someone like John teaching and showing the exact strategies he actually uses to generate multiple streams of income alone is worth the $10 price tag.
He offers a money back guarantee, but goes one better with the rest of the benefits offered,

A big one for me is the chance to have him help members create their own products by following along with what he teaches, and then To Promote Their Products to his 28,000+ list.

This would surely give any marketer new or experienced a helpful boost to sales or even the turbo charged start to their list building. Establishing their own online business.

With question and answer sessions, personal help from John, and a host of other benefits.
I can’t imagine anyone not getting excited enough to join.

The video newsletter I’ve seen outlined a particular strategy in such detail I doubt anyone wouldn’t be able to set up an identical campaign… I think a few more experienced marketers will soon hear about it and be implementing it themselves.

The BIG news about this program compared to many others has to be the price though.
In fairness - the quality is second to none from what I’ve seen already …

But to charge only $10 really must give every new and previously scammed, frustrated, challenged or otherwise not yet succeeding at making money online, marketer a real sense of hope.

It’s not going to be long before you’ll see many many people talking about this program.

If you’ll take my advice - I’d go and get in now
here before John’s having to turn people away.

A real newsworthy site in my opinion.
If you’ve tried and failed and been praying for a break ….. you’ve just been answered!
So get over there while it’s still breaking news.

A Scientific Method to Ensure Your Products Will Sell On eBay®

One of the things I enjoy the most about helping others build their own successful eBay business is listening to their business ideas. I’ve learned so much from all of the people with whom I work, primarily how creative and enthusiastic everyone can be about their ideas.

While a huge percentage of the ideas I hear offline are wonderful, they aren’t always ideal for marketing on eBay. So, my job is to teach others how to use a scientific approach to determine whether their idea is something that can be marketable and profitable on eBay.

This scientific approach is called research!

Research is defined as “a systematic investigation (i.e., the gathering and analysis of information) designed to develop or contribute to general knowledge.” The knowledge in this case is your product or idea.

Why Do Some Ideas and Products Not Work for an eBay Business?

As most of you already know, I focus primarily on teaching others how to benefit from the already huge eBay market and the customers they recruit to their site for your sales. To benefit from this traffic, you need to market a product that is highly popular and searched for by the masses. Doing so will make your job a lot easier and your business a lot more profitable.

Before moving on, I want to clarify that there are always exceptions to the rule. For example, you can make money dealing in collectibles even though the items might not be searched for widely. This is so because you have a targeted group of people who are coming to eBay to look for this particular collectible.

For the most part, we are looking to find a product that is highly searched for and/or well known by the masses. I have found the best products for this goal are popular name-brand products that are, for the most part, household names.

What Type of Product Research Is Needed to Determine Product Popularity?

So, you have an idea and now it’s time to start your research. The things you are looking for when doing your research are as follows:

It is first important to know you need to conduct your research not only by active auction listings but also by completed auction listings. By searching both active and completed listings, you’re better able to determine your average final bid value as well as the average number of items sold versus the number of items listed.

Be Sure To Compare Apples With Apples

What do I mean by this? Well, there are two different types of sellers (at least to me when doing research): the Business Sellers and the Garage Sale Sellers. Read the rest of this entry »

Who says using AdSense is like exchanging pennies for dollars?

January 7th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

How many times have you heard someone comment that using AdSense is a waste of money? Many people point out that if someone clicks on you Google Ads, you may receive a few cents from Google, but that person is now leaving your website. This may rob you from potential commission from website readers buying something through your affiliate links. A Google click could bring $.02, $.25, $1 and sometimes more. But someone clicking on your affiliate link may earn you more $$, maybe $7-$65 or more. Well my eyes couldn’t believe what I saw tonight on a fellow “How to make money online” type of website.

Take a look:

Maximizing Your eBay Profits by Selling to Your Past Customers

http://www.expressprofitsonline.com

Recently, I was contacted by a struggling eBay seller who sold products in a niche market. He desperately pushed and prodded me hoping that I could tell him how to make more money.

I knew he was selling in a tightly niched market, so I knew he needed to capitalize on every dollar that could be made selling to these buyers.

His current auction sales were good and his completed auctions were good, but he was just not generating the volume he wanted. Honestly, it seemed that there were virtually no more customers in that niche that he could sell to and he was having trouble finding products cheap enough to allow him to make a profit. He was hoping we could brainstorm and come up with some creative ideas.

Interestingly enough, this seller told me that, if he could just get more people to see his auctions, he could make the kind of money he had been hoping for.

So as we continued to talk we thought of virtually everything. I really didn’t think there was going to be much more he could do to make more money.

He was thinking on placing niche advertising on select sites across the Internet. But he did not want to spend everything he made with the hopes his ads would perform.

I was at a loss as to how I could help him. So I started trying to rethink everything he was doing to see whether we could optimize certain areas of his business. That’s when I asked him what percentage of his business came from previous customers.

He replied he had some repeat buyers, but they only came back maybe once or twice. However, he admitted that he never really tried to get them back. He always thought that, if they needed something, they would contact him.

This seller actually had a very stable and strong business. He was one that followed the guidelines found in my book to the tee. He did not miss a beat and was a real go-getter! Read the rest of this entry »

How to Sell on eBay - Auction Selling 101

December 29th, 2007    Subscribe To Our Feed

Well, I did it. I signed up for Auction Selling 101. I’ve been debating whether to do it, but I received some extra moolah from the holidays, so why not invest it in some research for practicalebayselling.com?

As you can see, my blogging has been a little scarce lately, and that’s because I’ve been going through the member’s only forum postings on Auctionselling101.com

Auction Selling 101 is an online experience that takes you step by step through the trials and tribulations of selling on eBay. The forum posters are great! They’re very knowledgeable. And the videos are good for me, because sometimes hearing and seeing someone explain something is easier than reading about the same subject.

I’ve actually just now started reading the ebook, because I’ve been focusing on the videos and forum posts first. I’ve been following along quite easily, and after working through some minor frustrations, I believe it was well worth the price. I suppose I’ll find that out when the profits come rolling in.

And that’s where all of you come in. I’m going to be documenting my progress with this business as it is the first time in a while I’ve tried to consistently sell on eBay. I was quite proud of myself getting such a good start on the eBook this week. There are certain steps that need to be done now, but once those are set up, I foresee a profitable business ahead.

Be prepared for some great posts with real time results from my newly built eBay business. You’ll be getting some videos and maybe even some podcasts, but stay tuned… and be prepared to make some money on eBay!

If you go to the Auctionselling101.com, you can even get a free “mini-course” by email.
